Tinker Coffee - The Firehouse

Charlotte has a heart of gold. She went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of amazing. She laughed, cried , and chatted with us and even ended it with a hug. She brought so much comfort to my friend during a rough time. She's truly an angel. Her kindness definitely left an impact on us.

Friendly neighborhood local coffee! Great options like lavender latte. So yummy! They serve wine & beer as well. Customer service was a little lackadaisical. Many people came and went that wanted to use the outdoor seating, but they had not been wiped down. I was there working for 2 hours.

Love coming here. Great patio, friendly employee's, and a water station! So glad Tinker moved in here. I have one gripe though, I LOVE their Caesar Salad, and come here specifically for it. Recently though, someone decided to change the dressing cup to a much smaller size and it's simply not enough. It was perfect before...change it back. Don't change Tinker! Love ya <3

Great coffee spot! Quick and friendly service. I only wish they did V60. I get it though, ain’t nobody got time for that.

We mow the property for Tinker Coffee on Illinois and the girls are always very kind and considerate when I come in. They make a very good cup of chai as well. The service is always good here and the store is usually always full as well. They are definitely doing something right.

Love this location!! The AMP is fun but this location is all about the atmosphere! Quintessential upscale coffeehouse vibes. Calvin was great helping me choose a breakfast sandwich and drink. My spouse orders a cappuccino and always says it's the best in the city. They offer cow and oat milk options. This trip I had the brekkie.... breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun with fried egg, cheese and either bacon or handmade local sausage patty. I got the sausage and the herb mayo (if you are a ranch lover...get this).....DELISH!! Ordered the seasonal lemonade with sparkling water added.....also really good. I need to try their lunch menu, everything sounds so good. Very cozy inside with tables and chairs and an upholstered seating group as well. Outdoor seating will be a must with the nice weather. Wine and other alcoholic options are available too! Don't have time to linger? They have a great selection of snacks, cookies, muffins and overnight oats ready to grab and go and I saw a walk up window. Wi-Fi, awesome employees, and overall ambiance makes this a great place to do some work or meet friends. They also give a 25% student discount!! See you there!!

The brown sugar cinnamon latte with oat milk struck a perfect balance between espresso and flavor. You could say it’s Goldilocks approved—not too strong, not too sweet. The inside is cozy and embellished, but there’s limited seating, so it’s best to arrive early. The staff was friendly and added a lively atmosphere to the experience!

My previous experience with Tinker was solely limited to always grabbing a latte when I was at the airport, but my friend suggested we try out this (new?) location and I'm glad she did! The Vibes? Immaculate. The staff was very friendly, the drink was delicious (all coffee shops should have Rosemary syrup!). I definitely will come back in the warmer weather when they open up the doors!
